Mt. Yashima Night View
The best night view in all Shikoku
Mt. Yashima, often called a mesa because of its roof-shaped lava plateau, offers mountaintop views of the Takamatsu cityscape and the numerous islands dotting the Seto Inland Sea.
From the Shishi no Reigan observation deck, visitors can take in a fantastic landscape where island shapes rise out of the sea, bathed in the orange light of the setting sun—one of the Top 100 Sunset Views in Japan. As the day fades, the soft lights of the city appear below for an incredible nighttime scene.
Buses to the summit do not run into the evening, so use the Mt. Yashima Night Tour or other means for access.
