Central Takamatsu Shopping Arcades by Day

Largest shopping arcade network in Japan

The Central Takamatsu Shopping Arcades are a network of eight interconnected shopping streets located in Takamatsu’s city center.
Stretching in all directions, and almost entirely covered, Japan’s largest network has a combined length of 2.8 km. Enjoy shopping and food in any of 1,000 different stores as you walk around the arcades.

The symbol of the Marugamemachi shopping arcade is a crystal dome modeled after the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy. The dome plaza plays host to different events. Looking at the dome from above, it almost resembles an upside-down udon noodle bowl—befitting for Kagawa, the udon prefecture.
